I Dare You
I dare you to
Take that knife that I can already see in your hand
And stab him
Stab him for the fourth time
Tell me it's "no harm done"
Tell me it doesn't benefit you
I dare you to betray him
Betray him again
Keep treating his trust
Like it doesn't mean
A thing
Just "a thing", that's what you call it
For the girl he liked
First
First time you did it
He was already going out with
Her
Her, now it's her that you do it to
When will you ever learn?
How many more times does it have to take?
1, or 2? Well?
Well, I say it's enough.
I dare YOU to turn around,
And let ME stab YOU.
You tell me how it feels
To have someone who calls their self a
"Best friend"
Best Friend, that's what he is to you
Well, then why don't you show it?
Back up
Back up and let him do it alone
Let him have that girl for once
Don't ruin it for him
I dare you
I dare you to do ONE nice thing.
Can you do that? Be a friend?
I dare you.

Whispers of Self-Confidence
As it whispers softly,
Softly it whispers,
"Come to me,
Come find me."
But I don't.
And I won't.
Because I lack of it,
Lack of it I,
Don't know where to go,
Don't know where to find.
So it finds me.
Then I wallow,
Wallow then I,
In the heat,
The heat.
I feel ecstacy.
Softly it whispers,
"Come to me,
Come find me."
But I don't.
And I won't.
Because I lack of it,
Lack of it I,
Don't know where to go,
Don't know where to find.
So it finds me.
Then I wallow,
Wallow then I,
In the heat,
The heat.
I feel ecstacy.

My Love's Like a Star by Demi Lovato
My love's like a star.
You can't always see me,
But you know that I'm always there.
When you see one shining,
Take it as mine,
And remember that I'm always near.
When you see a rocket,
I'm on it,
Making my way back home.
Just follow the glow.
It won't be long.
Just know that
You're not alone.
You can't always see me,
But you know that I'm always there.
When you see one shining,
Take it as mine,
And remember that I'm always near.
When you see a rocket,
I'm on it,
Making my way back home.
Just follow the glow.
It won't be long.
Just know that
You're not alone.

The Game
It all started with a simple thought
A simple thought
To play a game
To act like a couple
To feel like a couple
To look like a couple
The one who falls first loses
And I lost
A simple thought
To play a game
To act like a couple
To feel like a couple
To look like a couple
The one who falls first loses
And I lost

You Could've Been A Daddy
Do you remember that?
Those days when you stepped on me like a dirty mat!
You treated me like an object.
Don't you know that when you take your anger out on me that it's not correct?
When you have a punching bag, a pillow, or a wall.. But it's my face that you select?!
Don't you know that it's not just my physical health that you affect?
What did you suspect?!
That my emotions are important, that I wouldn't be traumatized, that I wouldn't be terrified
Of you?
But you knew!
That I was carrying your child, but you still chose to
Take your anger out on my gut, beat me and make me cry, killed our child while it grew,
Inside me
A part of me grew with a part of you
A baby, inside of me
If you knew how to calm down and just take a breather,
You could've been a daddy
But you chose to be angry
Screaming and yelling, taking my face in between your hands, and looking into my eyes that were clearly glossy
From all the tears that you gave me; from all the physical and emotional pain that you gave me
You gave in to the rage
From all the anger, and streaa that you couldn't wage
It all just came shooting out on me
If you learned to just hold it in
You could've been a daddy
Those days when you stepped on me like a dirty mat!
You treated me like an object.
Don't you know that when you take your anger out on me that it's not correct?

Landing Strip
Though I'd hate to admit,
I think of it everyday.
To be apart from all your wit.
I'd hate to go away.
But in three months time,
I'm sailing on a ship.
Nothing can stop it, no actions, no mime.
I'm departing, I'm taking a trip.
But it's a one way death travel,
On a ballistic rocket ship.
Without you, I feel so fragile.
I don't know where I'm going, where's my landing strip?
I'm about to explode,
This ship is at it's limit.
Full of shame, I'm taking the private road.
It's taking all my strength not to pivot,
And turn back around,
Come back to you,
And chain myself to the ground.
But you probably already knew,
Right? How much I love you.
I'm sailing on a ship,
The sun rising to my right.
I can see my landing strip,
But I hold back, and I fight.
I'm better, I know where I'm going now,
But I'm not sure if I want to go.
The blue eyes I gazed into three months ago,
Make me feel indecisive, and cold as the wind blows.
I'm getting off a ship.
I know where to go.
I'm standing on a landing strip.
I'm coming back home.
I think of it everyday.
To be apart from all your wit.
I'd hate to go away.
But in three months time,
I'm sailing on a ship.
Nothing can stop it, no actions, no mime.
I'm departing, I'm taking a trip.

It Couldn't Be Done
He was seven and learning how to ride a bike.
Somebody told him that he couldn't do it,
To just give up and get off.
But he said, "I can,"
So he hopped on that bike
And never once fell off.
She was fourteen and thinking about going into the school talent show.
Somebody told her she shouldn't do it,
She'll just embarrass herself.
But she said, "I will,"
So she stepped on to that stage
And got a standing ovation.
He was twenty-one and only a couple months away from university graduation.
Somebody told him he wouldn't do it,
He'd never finish university.
So he looked them straight in the eye,
And said,
"I did."
Somebody told him that he couldn't do it,
To just give up and get off.
But he said, "I can,"
So he hopped on that bike
And never once fell off.

I Promise
When you're down and have no one to run to
Looking for a friend, a trust-worthy person who
You can tell all your troubles to; I'll be right beside you
I promise
When you lose your balance
Not sure where to find guidance
Losing control of your life
And the only thing your vision runs on is that knife
Take the knife
And cut me
I'd take all the pain for you happily
I promise
On the days when it's dark, and you can't find your way home
I'll be the northern star in your dark night, so you no longer have to roam
I promise
When you're lost and want to turn back
Don't
Keep going
Just listen for the footsteps behind you
I'll be there to support you
I promise
I'll always be two-steps behind you
Looking for a friend, a trust-worthy person who
You can tell all your troubles to; I'll be right beside you
I promise
When you lose your balance
Not sure where to find guidance
Losing control of your life
And the only thing your vision runs on is that knife

Trust
Trust? Ain't no such thing.
You gotta be hard, and not let people hurt you.
In time you'll notice when someone truly loves you,
'Cause their love is strong enough to break down
Those walls you built up so high...
You gotta be hard, and not let people hurt you.
In time you'll notice when someone truly loves you,
'Cause their love is strong enough to break down
Those walls you built up so high...
Do You Remember?
Do you remember
When I'd lay up in your arms all night?
Not wanting to close an eye,
So I wouldn't miss any second being with you?
Do you remember
When I used to hold your hand so tightly,
So you wouldn't have a chance to let go?
Do you remember,
When you said your last words to me,
"It's not going to work between us anymore,"
And do you remember,
My last note,
'cause without you I couldn't take a breath no more.
When I'd lay up in your arms all night?
Not wanting to close an eye,
So I wouldn't miss any second being with you?
Do you remember
When I used to hold your hand so tightly,
So you wouldn't have a chance to let go?
Do you remember,

Stranger's Faces
You know what I notice in the hallways at school?
Friends.
Greeting each other with big, comforting hugs,
And warm smiles.
Voices being passed back and forth,
"Hey! Are you going to try out for the team?"
Or,"are you going to join that club?"
Best friends trying out for teams together; one friend makes it,
The other doesn't.
One becomes a jock,
The other classified as a loser.
You know what I notice in the hallways at school?
Strangers.
